Jewish Family Service is the community's primary source of professional help, support and comfort for individuals or families experiencing difficulties in almost any aspect of their lives. Caring, highly qualified, licensed professionals provide strictly confidential services--from career and employment assistance, to social-skills groups for children, to arranging for eldercare services for family members in Dallas or elsewhere, to 25 different support groups. Twenty-four-hour emergency help is available on call. The agency, accredited by The Council on Accreditation for Services to Children and Families, Inc., works on a fee-for-service basis with sliding-scale rates available when necessary. Private insurance and Medicare can be applied to the cost of service as appropriate. Supported in part by Jewish Federation of Greater Dallas and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Jewish Family Service programming includes:
